I recently reviewed this beautiful dress and wanted to update the review regarding size. Some of the older reviews (1 yr plus ago), suggest this dress runs small. I think Milly must have changed the fit because now it doesn’t run small- in fact I think it tends to run a bit larger in the top. I originally ordered a size 4 which was very big, but exchanged it for a 2. (I normally wear a Milly 2), but this size was also too large in the top and on the sides as well. I just exchanged it again for a size 0 and voila it fits! The funny thing is Milly recommended a 0 based on my prior Milly purchases- so this dress, in my opinion has been re-sized to be larger. I am 5’6”, 110 lbs, 32D-26-36 with a slender to athletic build and the 0 fits perfectly. I should have listened to Milly’s size recommendation in the first place- but now I know.

This is a really beautiful dress but it doesn’t run small in my opinion. I’ve always worn a solid 2 in Milly strapless dresses. I’m 5’6”, 32D , 110lbs, slim with athletic build. I ordered a size 4 based on reviews to size up. Big mistake. I returned it for a size 2 and am waiting for the exchange. I agree with another reviewer that the top seems to run large. If the 2 is too big I’ll get it altered a bit and make it work. It’s beautiful enough to keep and worth any small adjustments that might need to be made.

The material and cut of this dress are so beautiful - a classic look that could work for many settings. While other reviews said the dress runs small, I found it true to size and maybe a bit large on top and ended up sizing down from my normal Milly size. It is also rather long which is great for all heights. I’m 5’5” and will have it hemmed.
